AI study planner

An AI study planner that builds your plan around the exam date

Add an exam with its date, the topics or lectures it covers, how many minutes a day you can study and which weekdays. TurboStudy turns that into a day-by-day plan on the days you chose, weighted toward your weakest topics, and adjusts it from your practice results as the exam gets closer — including carrying forward anything you miss. Reminders arrive 7, 3 and 1 days before the exam.

Adding exams, countdowns, exam reminders and the weekly report work on every plan. The day-by-day plan and Study Strategist are included with Standard and Pro. No credit card required.

  3. Step 3: Follow today's plan

AI Study Planner

Who it's for

  • Students with several exams close together

Spread limited hours across courses instead of cramming whichever exam is next.

  • Anyone who keeps falling off a plan

Miss a day and the work moves forward instead of the whole plan falling apart.

  • Part-time and working students

Plan around the days and minutes you actually have, not an ideal schedule.

Study workflow

Where it fits in your study workflow

TurboStudy works as one loop: capture your class, learn it, practice it, then measure what's left to study.

  1. 1. Capture

Upload slides, PDFs and notes, or record the lecture.

  2. 2. Learn

Turn the material into organized notes and study guides.

  3. 3. Practice

Recall it with flashcards, quizzes, Active Recall and practice exams.

  4. 4. Measure & plan

See how prepared you are, then plan the days left before the exam.

What actually works

Evidence-informed study advice you can use with or without TurboStudy.

Plan backwards from the exam date

Start with the date and count the study days you really have — not every day until the exam, just the ones you'll use. Then decide how much time each day can take. A realistic 45 minutes on five days a week beats an ambitious three hours a day you'll abandon by Wednesday.

Leave the last day or two for review rather than new material. Our guide on how to make a study plan for exams walks through this with a worked example for two exams a week apart.

Spread topics out instead of blocking them

It's tempting to give Monday to topic one, Tuesday to topic two and so on. Revisiting each topic several times, with gaps in between, tends to stick far better — that's the spacing effect. A good plan touches each important topic more than once and mixes topics within a session once you've covered them.

Plan by weakness, not by chapter order

Chapter order is how the course was taught, not where your marks are. Use your practice results to decide where time goes: topics you're weak on and that carry a lot of the exam come first, strong topics get short spaced reviews to stay fresh. Your Exam Readiness Score lists your weakest topics, and the plan uses the same evidence.

  • Weak and heavily weighted: most of your time.
  • Strong and heavily weighted: short reviews every few days.
  • Weak but minor: cover the basics, then move on.
  • Strong and minor: leave for a final skim.

When you miss a day

Every plan meets real life eventually. Don't restart from scratch or try to do two days at once — move the missed work forward and trim the least important items if time is short. TurboStudy's plan does this automatically and tells you when it has adjusted.

If you have an evening free and no plan in front of you, ask the Study Strategist “what should I study tonight?” — it builds a time-boxed session from your own results.

The last 48 hours

Two days out, stop adding new material. Take one timed practice exam, review every mistake, and spend the final evening on a light recall round of your error list and key formulas. Then sleep — it does more for the next morning than another late hour of reading.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI study planner free?

Adding exams, the countdown, exam reminders and the weekly study report work on every plan. The day-by-day study plan and the Study Strategist are included with Standard and Pro.

What happens if I miss a study day?

The plan carries the missed work forward to your next study days instead of starting over, and shows a notice when it has adjusted.

Can I add my study plan to my calendar?

Yes. You can download your exams and the next three weeks of planned study days as a calendar (.ics) file and import it into your calendar app. It's a one-time download, not a live sync.

Will TurboStudy remind me about my exam?

Yes — by email and in the app 7, 3 and 1 days before each exam, plus a weekly study report on Mondays. You can turn both off in settings.

Does setting a target grade change my plan?

It only adjusts how much practice is recommended. TurboStudy never forecasts your grade.
